MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Miami Beach police arrested a suspect Thursday night after he ran away from them and climbed up a church's bell tower to hide.
It all began when an officer spotted a car with two men inside, who matched the description of two suspects in a robbery.
When the officer tried to stop the car, the suspects jumped out and ran away in the area of the 900th block of 41st Street.
One of them was quickly arrested. The other man climbed to the bell tower of St. Patrick's church and hid from police.
Investigators set up a perimeter and the man was eventually arrested.
Police are investigating the case.
