Miami Beach tree lighting planned

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - The city of Miami Beach will kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony at City Hall.

City officials invite the public to join them at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night on the 17th Street side of the building.

The ceremony will include the unveiling of the tree with thousands of lights, children caroling, and traditional holiday treats.

The event is free and open to the public.
