Miami-Dade police go paperless

Cop Logic works for non-emergencies

DORAL, Fla. - The Miami-Dade County Police Department is going paperless.

"It's just the simple click of your mouse," said Lt. Carolina Klaus.

Users log onto to the Police Department's website to use Cop Logic.

The program asks questions that a police officer would ask in non-emergencies, including lost property, landlord tenet disputes, threats, and vehicle burglaries.

To file a police report, head to the File a Non-Emergency Police Report Online page.

Miami-Dade police said the agency helps free up manpower and helps those living in the county by putting access at their fingertips.
