MIAMI, Fla. – Miami Department of Fire-Rescue crews capped a major gas leak Thursday morning.
Capt. Ignatius Carroll told Local 10 News that construction crews struck a gas line at Northwest Seventh Avenue and Northwest 14th Street about midnight.

There were no injuries or evacuations, but the intersection had to be shut down.
Carroll said repairs were delayed as crews worked to remove water from the hole where they were working.
