Man shot at store clerk before fleeing

MIAMI – Miami police are searching for a man they said committed an armed robbery inside a store on June 6.

The unknown man stormed into the Lubin’s Discount Store, in the 7700 block of Northeast Second Avenue, shortly after 12:30 p.m. on June 6 and demanded cash from the clerk while yelling and holding a gun, police said.

The clerk complied and gave the robber all of the money from the cash register, police said. The robber then shot at the clerk before leaving the store.

The owner of the store attempted to chase after the man but wasn’t able to catch up with him.

Police are searching for a man between 25 and 30 years old, 5 foot 6 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing between 180 pounds to 190 pounds.  The person was last seen wearing a black ski mask, gray hooded sweater and dark shorts.
