Miami Shores Wells Fargo bank robber arrested, FBI says

John Fontus, 33, arrested Wednesday

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – A man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Wells Fargo branch that took place Wednesday.

The FBI said John Fontus, 33, of Miami, walked into the branch located at 9899 NE Second Ave. about 12:15 p.m. and demanded money from a bank employee.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Fontus was taken into custody without incident. He was expected to appear before a federal judge Friday in Miami.
