MIAMI – Police say an elderly woman scared off a possible sexual offender after he attacker her inside her home in Miami Friday morning.
The incident happened about 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Northwest 47th Avenue.

According to police, the woman was walking out of her kitchen when a man lunged at her and covered her mouth in an attempt to inappropriately touch her.
The woman told officers that she began to scream, and the man told her he would not hurt her. She said she continued to kick and scream until he let her go and ran off.
Police said the man was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing.
