Miami-Dade Animal Services seeks stolen dog

Department says 1-year-old Django was stolen Tuesday from shelter

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – The Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department is asking for the public's help in finding the couple responsible for the theft of Django, a 1-year-old intact male Belgian Malinois.

According to the department, the dog was stolen from the shelter on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Surveillance video captured the dognapping duo as they made their getaway through a restricted access exit.

"The Department is extremely concerned for the welfare of the dog," said Alex Muñoz, Director of the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department. "We are diligently working to ensure his safe recovery."
