Miami-Dade's unemployment rate remains at 6.2 percent

Not seasonally adjusted data shows slight increase in hospitality jobs

MIAMI ā€“ Miami-Dade County's unemployment remained at 6.2 percent with a slight increase in April as the Miami, Miami Beach and Kendall areas added 33,700 non-agricultural jobs, government data shows.

The jobless rate was at 6.2 percent in March and stood at 6.9 percent in April 2014, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity data.

Leisure and hospitality jobs, which are usually low paying, were up about 5 percent.
