MIAMI – Two missing boaters who left Mexico bound for Florida have been found safe.
The U.S. Coast Guard said Friday that Thomas Rota, 40, and Megan Rota, 37, were located Thursday night north of the Dry Tortugas, an island chain about 60 miles west of Key West.

A Coast Guard news release said the couple departed from Isla Mujeres, Mexico, in a 63-foot catamaran named Chelone on June 9. They were scheduled to arrive in Key West last Monday after a brief stop at the Dry Tortugas last Friday, but they never made it.
The Coast Guard said no injuries were reported but didn't have any other information.
