Monday declared National Unfriend Day by Jimmy Kimmel

On Nov. 17, Kimmel tells viewers to take a closer look at their Facebook friends

Is your Facebook feed constantly clogged with stories and updates you don't care about? Jimmy Kimmel's must be because the late night host has declared Monday as "National Unfriend Day."

On Nov. 17, Kimmel advises viewers to take a good hard look at the people they allow to view their Facebook pages and decide whether or not they should really be called "friends."

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host posted a warning video on YouTube Saturday, telling Facebook users to get their pages cleaned up unless they wanted to be cut from friends' lists.

"I'm here on your feed because one or more of your 'friends' asked me to tell you you're getting dangerously close to being unfriended," Kimmel said. He lists reasons why Facebook users may be sick of a person's posts, including too many posts about politics, kids or photos of food. Others could be cut because they ruin shows before others get a chance to watch them or send too many invitations to join an online game.
