More sewage issues found in South Florida restaurants

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. – State inspectors found more sewage issues last week in South Florida restaurants.

Raw sewage issues were found at Miyako Sushi in Sunny Isles Beach and Hong Kong Cafe on Bird Road.

Records show both places were ordered shut.

Roach issues were found at Village Chinese near Zoo Miami and China Garden in Homestead.

Below is a list of places and some of their violations.

All the places mentioned were allowed to reopen following an ordered cleanup and re-inspection.

"Dish machine chlorine sanitizer not at proper minimum strength. Discontinue use of dishmachine for sanitizing and set up manual sanitization until dish machine is repaired and sanitizing properly."

"Interior of microwave soiled with encrusted food debris."

"Interior of oven has heavy accumulation of black substance/grease/food debris."

"Food stored in holding unit not covered. Containers of cooked chicken and cooked pork and cooked rice found in walking cooler."

"Roach activity present as evidenced by approximately 33 live roaches found crawling on the floor and wall underneath 3 door stand up reach in cooler, and also crawling on the wall behind the same 3 door reach in cooler in the kitchen. This unit is located in a food prep area. Also observed approximately 8 live roaches underneath the steam table, underneath a cardboard lining across from an oven."
