CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police said they are in desperate need of leads in the disappearance of 12-year-old twin sisters, Ricky and Nikki McClam.
Detectives believe the girls ran away from their father's home and believe that someone known by the teens might be helping them hide.
The sisters were last seen Tuesday morning leaving their home on Northwest 35th Court to go to their school bus stop.
The twins' father spoke to reporters Thursday, desperately asking his daughters to come home.
"I just want you all to come home. I miss you all and it's killing me that you're not with me," Rickey McClam said. "You know, I would never, ever hurt you. All I want is for you all to come home."
Police said the sisters left a note stating their intentions to run away following an argument with their father about going to visit their mother in New York.
But investigators said the twins' mother is denying any involvement in her daughters' disappearance.
Police said anyone who is helping the girls hide could face criminal charges.
