Mother of 4-year-old boy remains missing

Deputies ask for public's help finding Julian's mother

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. ā€“ The mother of a 4-year-old boy remains missing after detectives say she dropped him off at a neighbor's house and didn't return to pick him up.

BSO Child Protective Investigative Services are looking to locate the woman who left her son, Julian, with a neighbor to babysit earlier in the week on North Powerline Road in Pompano Beach.

The mother told the neighbor she would return to pick Julian up after a day or two, deputies said.

However, deputies said the mother did not return to pick up Julian, and the Broward Sheriff's Office was made aware after he suffered a medical condition. Julian was transported by EMS to the hospital.

Deputies want to ensure that the mother is safe and obtain a relevant medical history of Julian's.

BSO said Julian has been very well cared for. They are not sure if the mother is in the hospital or if she is missing.

Julian is currently in the care of Child Protective Services and BSO said they would like to reunite his mother with him.

At this time, deputies have not provided the mother's name.

Anyone that knows the whereabouts of Julian's mother is asked to contact the Broward Sheriff's Office at 954-765-4321.
