NASL announces split-season for 2013

MIAMI - The North American Soccer League announced its changing its regular season format for the 2013 season.

The NASL, home of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, will have a split-season schedule. The spring season will begin in late March or early April and end on July 4. The fall season will begin in late July or early August and end November 2.

At the end of the fall season, the winner of the spring championship will host the winner of the fall championship.

Both the spring and fall schedule will be a full round-robin, which each NASL team playing the others once at home and once on the road.
