MIAMI – The United States Postal Service says National Consumer Protection Week will begin Sunday, March 2nd and will last through Friday, March 8th.
USPS says it will join the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, AARP and other organizations during NCPW to educate consumers on how to guard against fraudulent foreign lottery scams.

This year, USPS says its post offices are displaying educational posters and "take-one" brochures in their lobbies.
The materials focus on foreign lottery schemes to help customers, especially older Americans, avoid being scammed and provide information on what to do if they become victims of a scam.
USPS says scheduled activities will include Postal Inspectors onsite to answer questions.
NCPW was established in 1998 by the Federal Trade Commission to draw attention to issues that help Americans become smarter consumers, said USPS.
