FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The FEC R/R Bridge across the New River will be temporarily closed to navigation Monday due to an emergency repair.
The City of Fort Lauderdale said the bridge will close to navigation from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 13.

The existing control box is falling off the bridge and the city said a new one will need to be welded in place, as they are of different sizes.
According to the city, the repair may be completed earlier, if so the Coast Guard will provide notification.
