MIAMI - On this date, the "Blizzard of '93" moved up the East Coast on this date in 1993, bringing record low temperatures east of the line from Texas to the Great Lakes. Nearly 60 record low temperatures were broken, including in Birmingham, AL (2 degrees) and Orlando, FL (33 degrees).
