LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Police confirm that one person is dead after a car crashed into a canal on Sunday morning.
Lauderhill police responded to scene near the 4200 block of University Drive around 8 a.m.

According to police, this was a single car crash and no passengers were in the car at the time,
Traffic homicide detectives are not releasing the name or gender of the victim until the family is notified.
Police are also asking any witnesses to call the Lauderhill Police Department's Traffic Homicide Division at 954-497-4700.
