MIAMI -

Miami-Dade County police are looking for the burglar who stole a Macaw parrot from a man's back yard.

The burglary happened in the 3200 block of SW 64th Avenue about 8:42 a.m. on August 20.

Police say the burglar walked into the man's back yard, then left with the yellow and blue parrot named Papo. He drove away in a silver, four-door BMW with dark tints.

In surveillance video released by police, the man -- armed with bolt cutters -- walks out of the back yard with the parrot wrapped in a pink cloth.

Rodolfo Rondon, the owner of the parrot, said it mimics the words Jonathan, Alex, Elvira, Rodo, chaky, que paso papo, flaca, ladra, and tose. He added that it sang Adele's "One and Only" with his children every day.

Police described the burglar as 35 to 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and about 185 pounds.
