FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a car while attempting to cross Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Friday in the southbound lanes of I-95 at State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale.

Troopers said the pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to Broward Health in critical condition.
The road was clear around 9:30 p.m.
Troopers are investigating the incident.
