FBI: Burglars shot at grenade inside ATM
Crowbar used to pry open panel of ATM at Wells Fargo Bank in Miami Gardens
The FBI released photos of an ATM burglary that happened in Miami Gardens early Thursday.
The burglary happened at Wells Fargo Bank, 19500 NW 27th Avenue, about 3:50 a.m.
A crowbar was used to pry open a panel of the ATM where a hand grenade-type device was placed inside, said FBI agents. Several gunshots were fired at the grenade, which failed to detonate.
"A whole bunch of gunshots. I thought it was the back of my house," said Krystal Menendez.
