NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A piano teacher was stabbed by a student Tuesday in North Miami Beach, police said.
The incident happened at a shopping center in the 900 block of North Miami Beach Boulevard.

According to officers, a woman who was waiting for her piano lesson stabbed the teacher, leaving her with a minor wound. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injury.
Authorities arrested the suspect and said it appears that she is mentally ill.
No other details were immediately released.
