District Restaurant robbery may be linked to Ni.Do Caffe robbery , say Miami police

MIAMI – Police are looking for the two men who robbed The District Restaurant and may have robbed another restaurant two weeks later.

At 190 NE 46th Street in early morning hours of Nov. 19, the manager told police he was walking in and out of the back door when he was approached by two masked men.

According to police, the duo pointed a gun at the manager and employees, and ordered them to lie face down on the floor.

As seen in a surveillance video, the robbers then stole items from the employees and money from the cash register.

They escaped with about $3,000 worth of cash and items.

Police described the robbers as being in their early 30s and were last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts. One of them was about 5 foot 6 inches tall and 200 pounds, and the other man was 6 feet tall and  160 pounds.

Investigators said this armed robbery may be related to the robbery that occurred on December 1 at Ni.Do. Caffé. Police arrested two men in connection with that robbery.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
