On Monday afternoon, Miami-Dade Police released the following statement: "The Miami-Dade Police Department has received information about a message being circulated on social media sites claiming that there has been a kidnapping in Dadeland Mall... at this time, the Miami-Dade Police Department has not received any reports to substantiate these claims."
