Police said Llorentis lost control of her car and crashed into a traffic light pole at about 1:20 a.m. on Miami Lakes Drive.

A close family friend of the driver told Local 10 News that Llorentis is a single mother of a 12-year-old boy. She said Llorentis was hanging out at the Ale House with friends before the fatal crash.

Meanwhile, residents who live nearby said the intersection is extremely dangerous and has been the site of at least three other fatal crashes.

"This is a bad intersection," said one witness. "These cars come around here, 1 o'clock or 2 o'clock in the morning. Even during the day, and they're flying."

The condition of the vehicle forced investigators to leave the bodies inside until it was towed to the medical examiner's office.

Police said it appears that speeding played a role in the crash.
