MARGATE, Fla. – Police have identified a 7-year-old boy who was pronounced dead Saturday as Jason Davis.
According to a press release, Margate Police were called to Carolina Springs Shopping Center on Sample Road Saturday after a 911 call describing that Davis was unresponsive in the back seat of a car.

After Margate Police and Margate Fire Rescue responded, Davis was transported to Northwest Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
His mother, Crystal Burnett, was at the scene.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, but is under investigation.
