MIAMI – Police identified the two women killed by a gunman who then led police on a pursuit that ended with a fatal crash in west Broward County Wednesday morning.

Miami-Dade police said Antonio Feliu (pictured) shot the two women -- Viviana Gallego and her daughter, Anabel Benitez -- inside a home in the 12300 block of Southwest 190th Street about 9:30 a.m. Investigators said Feliu, 48, was in an estranged relationship with Gallego.

"I heard four gunshots or something," said Vincent Martinez, a neighbor.

Gallego, 51, died at the house. Benitez, 28, was airlifted to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

"They were rarely home. They were very quiet," said Rebeca Cepelo.

"They're normal people," added Mario Monfort. "They seemed to get along good, well."

The mother and daughter had been renting an efficiency in the neighborhood for a few months. Family and friends removed their belongings from the home Thursday.

"Beautiful, great mother, greater daughter," said Boris Anosito, who went to school with Gallego in Cuba. "She is like family. It has been hard."

Feliu later crashed his sport utility vehicle into another car at Griffin Road and U.S. 27, police said, killing a 48-year-old Maritza Medina.
