MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 3-year-old boy was taken to a hospital Wednesday after he was found with burns on his back, authorities said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the boy was dropped off at Christ the King Preschool in Palmetto Estates, and staff notified authorities once they saw the burns.
Authorities said it does not appear that the burns happened at the school.
The boy was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert.
Police are investigating.
A spokesman for the Archdiocese of Miami said employees also notified the Department of Children and Families.
No other details were immediately released.
