MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A man was stabbed Wednesday morning in Miami Beach.
The incident happened about 4 a.m. in the 200 block of 14th Street.
Craig Somerford told Local 10 News reporter Ben Kennedy that he woke up to flashing lights and paramedics moving in to help the man who had been stabbed.
"It's terrible. It's frightening when you're sleeping and knowing that less than 100 feet away somebody got stabbed," Somerford said.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds.
Police said preliminary information leads them to believe that the stabbing occurred after some sort of transaction between the victim and another person involving an iPod.
Police said they are interviewing and following all available leads. No arrests have been made.
