Arias and another man were arguing over the phone inside the Riverpark Trailer Court at 2260 NW 17th Avenue when Arias hit the man on the head with a metal object.
After the dispute, Arias left the scene in his 2003 Ford F-150, but he returned a short time later.
Upon seeing his acquaintance walking on the side of the road, Arias turned his truck around and chased down the victim.
When the victim attempted to hide behind a metal pole on the side of the street, Arias intentionally steered the truck towards the man at a high rate of speed.
Arias' vehicle hit the pole and the man, with the front left wheel of the truck laying on top of the body.
When Arias was unable to move his truck, he fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses to the incident were able to chase down Arias and hold him until police officers arrived.
When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived, they determined that the victim had died.
Arias was taken to jail and offered no bond on the murder charge.
