LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A police officer was taken to a nearby hospital after he crashed his squad car Friday afternoon in Lauderhill.
The crash happened about 5:30 p.m. at northwest 34th Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard.

It appears the police officer crashed into the back of the other car involved.
The driver of the other car remained at the scene and was questioned by authorities. He was not injured in the crash.
The police officer's condition has not been released.
