Police release sketch of men accused of raping women on Miami Beach

Victim says she met men March 29 at Nikki Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Police have released sketches of two men believed to have raped two women after a night of drinking in Miami Beach on March 29.

According to police, a woman claimed that she and her friend had been drugged and raped by two men they had met at Nikki Beach.

The victim said she woke up at a hotel room, believed to be the Beach Paradise Hotel or the Fritz. She said she left before verifying what hotel she was at, but said the GPS on her cellphone showed that she was in the area of those two hotels at the time.

Police said the woman claimed she awoke with a naked man standing over her, asking for her to perform oral sex. She said she refused and another naked man approached her yelling the same request.

The victim said she was naked from the waist down and saw her friend on the floor in the fetal position with just her underwear on. She said one of the men may have been taking pictures of her because she saw "flashes."

The woman told investigators that the men targeted her friend after she refused their advances, and said she yelled at them to leave her friend alone.

Police said the victim woke up her friend, grabbed their belongings and called an Uber to take them home. She said she noticed her ripped underwear on the floor but didn't think to take it with her.

The woman told detectives that she felt soreness in her genital area the next morning, and feared she would have to go to the hospital to have her tampon removed.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
