MIAMI – Surveillance video shows four men rob customers -- including Miami Heat guard Roger Mason Jr. -- and employees at a restaurant in Miami's MiMo District, say police.
In the video, four men wearing hoodies walk into Ni.Do. Caffe. At least two are armed, and customers appear to comply with their demands.
One takes $800 in cash from a register. They then leave.
On Monday evening, police arrested Steven Dawson and Rashaud Stroud after an officer saw a black Cadillac Escalade believed to have been used in the robbery.
Detectives found a Rolex belonging to Mason on Dawson, according to an arrest affidavit. Stroud also admitted to robbing the restaurant, police say.
Dawson, 30, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while committing a felony, and possession of stolen property. Stroud, 32, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the other two involved in the robbery is asked to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
