Police search for vehicle involved in hit-and-run crash

DORAL, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a  Kia Optima that they believe is linked to a hit-and-run crash that left one person injured Sunday morning, according to a media release.

Police are searching for a four-door black 2013 with extensive front-end damage. The vehicle may also be missing a driver-side headlight.

The crash happened shortly before 2:45 a.m. in the 2200 block of Northwest 41 Street and left a 38-year-old man injured, police said. 

The Optima is believed to have been speeding south on Northwest 22nd Avenue when it rear-ended a black Honda Accord, police said. 

The driver of the Accord was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Sunday afternoon.
