JUDGING BY THIS... PRESIDENT OBAMA AND MITT ROMNEY APPEAR TO BE ON THE SAME SIDE WHEN IT COMES TO THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
(TK PKG)
Obama: I, like most Americans, believe that the second amendment guarantees an indivudal the right to bear arms
Romney: We have a second amendment that protects the right of people to bear arms. I support that.
BUT THE TWO PART WAYS WHEN IT COMES TO THE ISSUE OF GUN CONTROL.
Obama: i also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47's belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals.
Romney: I don't support new gun laws in our country. We have a lot of gun laws now.
THE WHITE HOUSE SAYS THE PRESIDENT SUPPORTS A BAN ON THE SALE OF ASSAULT WEAPONS, WHICH WERE RESTRICTED UNTIL 2004.
ROMNEY ENACTED A SIMILAR BAN AS GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS IN 2002.
BUT HE DOESN'T SEE GUN CONTROL AS THE ANSWER TO VIOLENT ACTS.
Romney: I think that the effort to continue to look for some law to somehow make violence go away is missing the point. The real point has to relate to individuals that are deranged and distressed and to find them, to help them and to keep them from carrying out terrible acts.

MOST EXPERTS SAY NEITHER CANDIDATE HAS MUCH TO GAIN POLITICALLY BY MAKING THIS A CAMPAIGN ISSUE.
