WASHINGTON – America Ferrera kicked off the Women's March on Saturday morning condemning President Donald Trump's "demonization of our Muslim brothers and sisters."
The 32-year-old actress from Los Angeles delivered her speech a day after Trump pledged that the civilized world was at war with "radical Islamic terrorism."

Ferrera, the daughter of parents from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, is an advocate for immigration reform and the protection of students registered in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
"We will not go from being a nation of immigrants to a nation of ignorance," Ferrera said during her speech. "We won't build walls and we won't see the worst in each other."
Ferrera was among a long list of celebrities -- Scarlett Johansson, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ashley Judd, Amber Rose, Amy Schumer and Chrissy Teigen -- to participate in the march. Organizers estimated 3 million will be marching on Saturday worldwide.
Ferrera fears other minorities will face repression during Trump's presidency.
"We condemn the systemic murder and incarceration of our black brothers and sisters," Ferrera said. "We will not ask our LGBTQ families to go backwards."
