MIAMI – A power outage closed Zoo Miami Monday.
"We are sorry to say that on this beautiful sunny and breezy Monday morning, Zoo Miami will be closed due to a power outage," read a post on the zoo's Facebook page.

Crews are at the zoo making repairs to a transformer that blew, shutting power in the restrooms and concession stands, said spokesman Ron Magill.
Magill said generators are running and the zoo expects to reopen on Tuesday.
