OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – A large power pole tilted perilously close to the roof of an Oakland Park shopping plaza seems to be rotted, the fire chief told Local 10's Tamika Bickham.
The pole was apparently being propped up by a recycling bin.

Employees and customers were not being allowed to use the back door near the power pole, but the shops remained open for business Thursday afternoon, Bickham reported.
No evacuations were ordered.
Florida Power & Light was called to assess the situation and secure the pole.
Authorities said it does not pose a risk to the public.
