President Barack Obama turns 52 on Sunday.

His birthday weekend started with a meeting with Lisa Monaco, his assistant for homeland security and counter terrorism.The State Department issued a worldwide travel alert Friday. Also, there is an order to close all U.S. embassies Sunday.

The president left the White House for Camp David in Maryland. On Saturday, Obama played golf with friends at Joint Base Andrews.

Some of the friends included Marty Nesbitt, a friend from Chicago, Eric Whitaker,  a Harvard grad school peer, and Punahou high school friends from Hawaii Mike Ramos and Robert "Bobby" Titcomb.

In 2011, Titcomb was arrested in Honolulu on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute, and in 1987 he was arrested on drunken driving charges, ABC News reported.

Obama is scheduled to return to the White House on Sunday afternoon. His week ahead includes travel to the West Coast to discuss plans to help homeowners, appear on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno and visit with troops at Camp Pendleton.

He also has a White House meeting Thursday with the prime minister of Greece.
