MIAMI -

President Barack Obama is in south Florida for a pair of fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee.

Air Force One landed at Miami International Airport shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, about half an hour earlier than expected.

The President's motorcade then arrived at the home of a local businessman on Palm Island, where tickets for the private dinner and event went for more than $34,000 a head.

Protesters gathered on Alton Road and 29th Street, where the President was expected to make an appearance at a second fundraiser.

Traffic delays are expected on the Julia Tuttle Causeway and Alton Road from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
