Pressure cooker outside Jewish school in Miami Beach prompts evacuation

Evacuation ordered at Yeshiva Elementary School

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A pressure cooker outside a Jewish school in Miami Beach prompted an evacuation Wednesday morning.

The bomb squad was called after the pressure cooker was found next to a dumpster outside Yeshiva Elementary School on Carlyle Avenue.

Rabbi Yisroel Moshe Janowski said all the children from the front of the school were moved to the back while the bomb squad inspected the pressure cooker.

The bomb squad detonated the pressure cooker and determined there was no threat.
