Prosecution wants two books from George Zimmerman

SANFORD, Fla. – Prosecutors requested two books and some e-mails from George Zimmerman Saturday.

Zimmerman is being accused of murdering Trayvon Martin, Feb. 26, 2012. The former crime watch captain volunteer claims he killed him in self-defense.

Prosecutors have to prove motive. They have records of Zimmerman's curriculum and grades while he was a criminal justice student at Seminole State College of Florida . He did not graduate.

These are the books prosecutors want:

-- Criminal Law and Procedures for the Paralegal: A Systems Approach, 3rd Edition Delmar Learning

-- Criminal Justice in Action, 4th Edition (Gaines & Miller).

Opening statements in the second-degree murder case will begin 9 a.m., Monday. Defense attorney Don West will present first.
