Protesters gather outside courthouse

George Zimmerman charged in Trayvon Martin's death

SANFORD, Fla. – Protesters gathered outside the Seminole County Courthouse in Sanford on Friday where jurors are deliberating in the George Zimmerman trial.

The protesters chanted that they wanted justice for Trayvon Martin, who Zimmerman killed in February 2012.

"If it was me, I wouldn't have had no trial," said Koron Maulesvy. "I wouldn't have been out here right now. I would've been sitting in the back and getting 30 or 40 years."

"Murdering someone and walking away with five years -- that's not justice," added Lillian Cintron.

Zimmerman pleaded not guilty, saying the shooting was in self-defense.

"The 'Stand Your Ground' needs to be changed," said Yvonne Donaubauer. "That is just a mess."
