Rape, robbery suspect held without bail

Terrence Jefferson charged in rape, several robberies

MIAMI – A man charged in connection with a rape and several robberies last month will be held without bail, a Miami-Dade judge ruled Thursday.

Police arrested 33-year-old Terrence Jefferson last week. He was charged in four incidents that happened between Dec. 28 and Dec. 31, 2013.

On Dec. 28, Jefferson offered an 18-year-old woman a ride during bad weather, police said. Once the victim was inside the car, he pulled out a gun and ordered her to take off her clothes. She escaped and ran away.

On Dec. 30, Jefferson allegedly entered another woman's car, robbed her and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, police said.

On Dec. 31, he reportedly called a 9-year-old and 13-year-old girls to his car, police said. The kids screamed, dropped their cellphone and laptop and ran away from Jefferson, who had a gun.

Jefferson used his girlfriend's Chevrolet Impala in the incidents, say police. He was released from prison in November.
