Repeat thief steals from Weston Radio Shack 3 times in 2 days

Surveillance video shows woman helping man during second theft

WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to find a repeat thief who stole from a Radio Shack in Weston three times in two days.

The first theft occurred Jan. 2 when a man wearing black pants and a black shirt used a magnetic key to remove three Galaxy smartphone batteries that sell for about $100 each from the display area.

He returned the next day with a woman who wandered around in an aisle while the man fumbled with the magnetic key nearby. This time, he stuffed some Beats by Dr. Dre headphones in the woman's purse and removed his outer shirt, placing it on top of her purse to disguise the bulge in her bag.

The man returned alone later in the day and stole another pair of headphones.

Detectives are hoping surveillance video will help them find the pair.

Anyone who recognizes the man or woman is asked to call the BSO at 954-659-3531 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
