Report: Bulls interested in Dwyane Wade

Move would be return home for Heat superstar

CHICAGO – If LeBron James can go home again, why can't Dwyane Wade?

Just hours after James announced he would be returning to Ohio to play for the Cavaliers, a report says that Wade's hometown Chicago Bulls may be interested in signing the free agent.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the "Bulls are gauging interest with free agent Dwayne Wade."

Wade, who last month opted out of a deal that would have paid him almost $42 million over the next two years, has been a member of the Heat since being drafted out of Marquette in 2003.

Wade, 32, started to feel the effects of his 11 NBA seasons just a couple years ago and played in just 54 games during the regular season in 2013-14, averaging 19 points per game.

Heat officials were hoping that a well-rested Wade would give the team a boost in the playoffs, but after stellar performances in the opening rounds, Wade put up disappointing numbers in the NBA Finals, shooting just 43-percent from the field against the Spurs.
