TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has received information on Monday that the two boys who were kidnapped from their grandparent's house last week may possibly be in Cuba.

Investigators received information Monday evening that 4-year-old Cole Hakken and his 2-year-old brother Chase, arrived in Cuba with their family.

FBI and State Department are working to confirm the information.

An Amber Alert was issued last Wednesday after the boys were taken from their grandparents house, with deputies naming the prime suspects their parents-- 34-year-old Sharyn Patricia Hakken and 25-year-old Joshua Michael Hakken.

The Hakkens lost custody of the children last year after a drug possession arrest in Louisiana. Authorities say Joshua Hakken later tried to take them from a foster home at gunpoint.

Deputies said last week the father had recently bought a 25-foot sailboat. The location of the sailboat was unknown.
