NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A North Lauderdale man is facing child pornography and extortion charges after he solicited a California girl whom he met online for nude pictures and then threatened to use them to get more nude photographs from her, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office report.
Richard Jacques, 22, was arrested Tuesday after a BSO detective working with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information from Napa, California, police that a Broward County man was in possession of child pornography and was extorting a 12-year-old girl in order to get more, the BSO probable cause affidavit said.

Napa police told the BSO that Jacques solicited the girl via Skype on June 3, asking for and receiving pornographic images that he used to threaten her for into sending more of the same.
BSO's SWAT team executed a search warrant Tuesday at Jacques' home. When questioned by detectives, the report said, Jacques claimed that he requested pictures of the girl's breasts and buttocks, but he "denied keeping the pictures, as well as having a video of her."
According to the report, Jacques said he knew that what he was doing was wrong, but he was angry and threatened to expose the nude pictures of the girl "if she did not do what he demanded."
Detectives said they found a data storage device in Jacques' room that contained a pornographic video depicting a girl engaging in various sex acts, including with a dog.
The report said Jacques "has a history of soliciting young female victims online using various social media networks."
Jacques was in jail Wednesday on a $250,000 bond.
