Police seek public's help identifying man who stole cash from restaurants

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help in finding the man who robbed three fast food restaurants in southern Miami-Dade County.

On April 20, the man approached a fast food restaurant at 20517 Old Cutler Road. While outside, the man saw an employee who was carrying a money bag and snatched the bag from her arm, police said.

The robber then fled the scene towards Old Cutler Road. The money bag contained $1,155, according to police.

On May 19, the man entered a fast food restaurant at 28700 South Dixie Hwy. Police said once he was inside, the armed man jumped the counter and ordered the employees to open the registers.

The man then stole $500 and fled the scene, authorities said.

On May 25, the man entered a fast food restaurant at 24655 S.W. 112 Ave. Once inside, the armed man jumped the counter and ordered the employees to open the registers. Police said he then stole $180 and fled the scene.

Miami-Dade police described the robber as a black man who appears to be 20 years old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 120-150 pounds and has a dark complexion. Police said he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, blue jeans and a black cap.

The man's vehicle was described as silver, and has tinted windows and a sunroof, police said.

Anyone with information regarding these robberies or knows the robber's identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477) or 866-471-8477. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the tip leads to the man's arrest. Police said all calls are anonymous.
